Angelina Booher (tech)
Angelina a native of Pennsylvania attended Allegheny College of Maryland
majoring in Sociology. Her interests turned to veterinary medicine and she
started working at LaVale Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary assistant. After
three years of employment she moved to the Emergency Animal Center in
Frederick, Maryland. She finished as the senior technician after three years of
employment. Returning to Pennsylvania she moved to State College and began
working at Metzger Animal Hospital. She worked there for three years as the
veterinary technician assistant supervisor. Her desire to return to emergency
medicine was the driving force for her to come to work for CPVETS as our
technician supervisor.
Angelina lives in Altoona with her husband Brad, son Kooper and their two
brittany spaniels, Lake of Fire and Brimstone. They also have 5 cats Zeus, Oscar
De La Hoya, Taggy, Sable and Pumpkin. She volunteers for the American
brittany rescue. She also enjoys rehabilitating kittens.
Jennifer Schraf, LVT
Jennifer graduated from Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA in 1998 with an
associates degree in science majoring in veterinary medical technology. She
worked at Metzger Animal Hospital for two and a half years before leaving to
work at Town and Country Animal Hospital in Warriors Mark, PA. She works
for us part time here at CPVETS as a veterinary technician.
Jennifer has two children, Zachary and Dana, and two rabbits Fluffy and Jake.
She is a resident of Boalsburg.
Lori Snyder (tech)
Lori a native of central Pennsylvania attended Indiana University of
Pennsylvania where she majored in nursing. She moved to Ocean City, MD and
spent the next five years working at the Ocean City Animal Hospital. Since
returning to Pennsylvania Lori works full time at Centre Animal Hospital in
State College and part time at CPVETS as a relief veterinary technician.
She resides in Curwensville with her two dogs, Roxy and Pebbles and two cats,
Ally an Moustasha.
Megan Mc Clenahan, LVT
Megan graduated from the Veterinary Technician Institute in Pittsburgh, PA in
2008. After finishing her research animal internship at Penn State, Megan
began working for us here at CPVETS in December of 2008. She is attending St
Petersburg College through distance learning to attain her Bachelor of Science
degree in veterinary technology. She also attended Edinboro University and
studied fine arts and art history.
Megan currently lives in State College with her two dogs, Darryll and Monkey.
Darryll works as a blood donor for CPVETS. They all enjoy running and
hiking in the central PA mountains and swimming in the local lakes and
streams. They also enjoy a good movie with popcorn!
Jessica Little-Hitchings (tech)
Jessica is a native of central Pennsylvania. She graduated from Indiana
University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. After
graduation she worked at the Meadows Psychiatric Center in Centre Hall, PA
for five years. Jessica decided a career change was in order. Gaining experience
with dairy cows as a herd health technician and as a veterinary technician at
University Drive Veterinary Hospital and J. Ritchie Veterinary Hospital for
seven years led her to her present employment here as a full time veterinary
technician.
Jessica shares her home with seven dogs: three Australian cattle dogs (Dingo,
Shanti, and Lyndy), two Jack Russel terriers (Snap and Sophie) and Labrador
Minnie and border collie Jack Russel terrier Derby. Her dogs participate in
many dog sports including flyball, agility, herding, dock diving and Frisbee.
Jessica prides herself on the fact that her dogs (most of which are rescues) have
been extremely successful competing in the venues. She has traveled to the
flyball national competition in Scottsdale, Arizona two years in a row to
compete with her team from Philadelphia, taking her dogs Dingo and Derby.
Jessica also has two cats, Fluffy and Shmore. They enjoy lounging around the
house and supervising all of the dogs. She has three horses, Mystic, Tag and
Derby. The live on her brother's dairy farm in Zion. She competes in
hunter/jumper competitions with them.
Sarah Vinglish, LVT
Sarah graduated from the Veterinary Technician Institute of Pittsburgh, PA
in 2004 with an associates degree in veterinary technology. She is a native of
Ashville, PA and a graduate of Penn Cambria high school.
Sarah currently lives in Duncansville, PA with her adopted diabetic min.
poodle Minnie. They enjoy participating in agility and exploring local parks.
Sarah also enjoys photography, cooking, and fishing as well as watching the
Steelers and Penguins games.
Sarah joined the CPVETS team as a part time veterinary technician in
February 2009. She is also employed as the head technician at a Lakemont
veterinary clinic.
Amberlee Russell, LVT
Amberlee is a graduate of the Veterinary Technician Institute of Pittsburgh,
PA. She grew up in a small town outside of Harrisburg, PA. She has been
working in veterinary clinics since graduating from high school. She joined
CPVETS in the winter of 2009 as a part time veterinary technician while she
is attending classes at Penn State. She plans to apply to veterinary school in
the future.
Pets have always been a part of Amberlees life. Currently the "herd" includes
Dusty a thoroughbred mare, Mogwhai a pygmy goat, Peaches a beagle mix,
cats Macatum Jade Delyla and Nugget. A red ear slider turtle Gypsy, Hammie
a dwarf hamster and Blue Fishy a beta fish.
Becky Dominick (tech)
Becky is from Colver, PA. She attended the Veterinary Technical Istitute and
graduated in 2008 with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. She
has worked in day practices since graduation, but joined CPVETS in June of
2010 as a full time technician.
Becky has one dog named Petey, who lives part time in Colver with his
grandparents and part time in State College. He is a springer spaniel mix
who loves to chase the ladies.
