Kim Ferretti, DVM
Dr. Ferretti received her Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison
University in 1996. She graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional
College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006, where she received high honors and
was elected into the Phi Zeta Honor Society.
Dr. Ferretti received awards for excellence in small animal medicine, clinical
pathology, and feline medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College
of Veterinary Medicine. Her specialities include neurology, trauma and soft
tissue surgery.
While Dr. Ferretti is originally from northern New Jersey she has traveled
extensively but enjoys the State College area. She currently lives in Millheim,
PA.
Tasha Parks, DVM
Dr. Parks received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the
University of Arizona in 2002. She graduated from the Ohio State University
College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.
Before joining the CPVETS team, she worked in private practice where she
developed an interest in ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery and small mammal
medicine. She is currently a member of the American and Pennsylvanian
Veterinary Medical Associations, as well as the International Veterinary
Emergency and Critical Care Society.
Dr. Parks is a native of Lewistown, Pa where she now resides with her
boyfriend Matt, their dog Marley, 2 cats Panthro and Mouse. Also parrots
Maxwell, Nacho and a rabbit named Bunny. She is planning to move to State
College in the near future. Outside of work she enjoys the outdoors, reading,
exercising and participating in outreach programs and community service.
Then with the time that is left she likes to relax with family and friends.
Dave Allgeier, VMD
Dr. Allgeier graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of
Veterinary Medicine in 1997. He is employed as a mixed animal veterinarian at
Town and Country Animal Hospital in Warriors Mark, PA. He works here at
CPVETS as a part time emergency veterinarian.
Dr. Allgeier lives in Port Matilda, PA with his wife, children and dogs.
Safi Chand, DVM
Dr. Chand is a Foreign Veterinary Graduate, re certified in Canada and the
USA in 2005. Dr. Chand completed his medicine and surgery internship at
Boston Road Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in Springfield,
Massachusetts. After working for 3 years for one of the largest emergency
and referral hospitals in Maryland, he came to CPVETS. His special interests
are cardiology, radiology and surgery.
Outside of work he is the father of two daughters, ages 3 and 6 years.
