We are continuing with curbside service to better serve our patients and clients
Upon arrival at our facility, clients are asked to call 814-237-4670 to let our Client Service Representatives know you are in the parking lot and your parking space number. We always appreciate a call ahead so that our team can be prepared prior to your arrival, but we do accept walk-in patients.
CPVETS would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of our clients for their patience and loyalty during the challenging times of the pandemic. We have all had to be resilient and creative in order to maintain our excellent standards in veterinary care for our patients while adhering to safe public health practices. We appreciate your willingness to adjust alongside us. We have learned from this experience as well. We are seeing unprecedented numbers of patients on a daily basis and have found that the Curbside format has allowed us to accommodate the increased need of our community's veterinary care in a much more efficient and effective manner. In order to continue to meet the high volume of patients in need of emergency walk-in care and critically ill patients transferred from other hospitals, we have decided to adopt Curbside service as our standard practice for the intake and discharge of all patients. We will continue to welcome clients inside for visitation with their hospitalized pets and to be with their pets during humane euthanasia.
Again, we wish to thank all of our clients for entrusting us with their veterinary care and we will continue to do our best to be the best for all of you!
Welcome to CPVETS
Central Pennsylvania Veterinary Emergency Treatment Services
CPVETS has some exciting news to share with you!
While we have always strived for excellence, during 2016 we put in a lot of extra work, and are now proud to announce that we are one of the select few hospitals that are accredited through the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). In fact, only 12% of veterinary hospitals are! To achieve this honor, we underwent a rigorous evaluation that covered 900+ standards that addressed everything from patient care and pain management, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, medical records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental care, diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology, to continuing education.
What does this mean for you and your pets? Well, it means that you can rest assured that your pet is getting top quality care. "AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine. The AAHA Standards of Accreditation are continuously reviewed and updated to keep our accredited practices on the cutting edge of veterinary excellence."

They are amazing they truly care about you and your pet. I went there for my gabbi who had just had a seizure and I needed answers and help. They welcomed me and gabbi very warmly got is immediately back to a room and were trying to help with what was wrong. They helped calm me down and give me answers for what was going on with my baby. I would recommend them to everyone who has a pet who needs a vet or emergency services!!!! They truly care about you and your pets needs

In the beginning of August my female Rottweiler started having some major issues. No eating, drinking or going to the bathroom. Having her at my vets twice that week with no answers she passed a blood clot on a Thursday night. I rushed her to CP vets. X-rays were immediately taken & it was clear there was a blockage but unsure where. Upon going into surgery it was discovered she had a colonic torsion. The vet saved my dogs life hands down. After speaking with 6 different vets I learned a colonic torsion was extremely rare. My rottie stayed for 2 days at cp vets & I was allowed to stop in to see her anytime. Staff was all amazing with me & the situation!

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the quality care that you gave my kitty Hazel. I could genuinely tell everyone there really cared about her and wanted what was best for her. I felt so confident leaving her in your care overnight. I will tell everyone I know to come to CP for any medical emergency their pet may have. For everything that was done for my girl the price was very reasonable as well. Hazel has been eating a lot since she's been home and seems like she's back to her regular self thanks to you. Happy new year!

My dog and I could not have been treated any better. All staff, from receptionist to Dr. Morgan were so compassionate and professional. Our visit was due to an emergency. They were waiting for us when we arrived and took exceptionally good care of my dog. Each staff member we came into contact with helped lessen the stress of our emergency situation. I recommend them to everyone.

I can't speak any higher of the care and compassion we received last Saturday night . We had to finally make the decision to put my mom's 16 year old pug to sleep when it finally affected her breathing. They were so patient and let us spend all the time we needed with her . They were a true savior being there is no emergency vets available in DuBois . They are wonderful.
